2 Kings 4:1-7 (RLB 2/22/24)
Her days were hard, and nights so lonely.
Her sons were now, her one and only.
Her husband gone, only his debt remains.
Creditors threaten, slaving her sons in chains.
She asked for help from the man of God.
“Use what you have,” he said with a nod.
But all she had, was a flask of olive oil.
Borrowing empty jars, was such a toil.
Go home with your sons, and shut the door.
Pour the oil in the jars until there’s no more.
She did as told and filled them to the brim,
Every last jar, as she was instructed by Him.
Sell the olive oil and pay off your debts.
Live off the remainder without any threats.
You life’s been changed because of the Lord.
He richly provides what you couldn’t afford.
Are you an empty vessel fill to the top?
Seeking after God with all you got?
Be an empty vessel filled to the top,
Seek after God with all you got.
Never Stop.
