If The sky is cloudy all day, pray.

If the sun’s not shinning, say,

“God I know you’re here to stay.
Please show me your light and your way.”

I can not allow the climate outside,
To define my condition down deep inside.
Convictions of joy are what God provides.
With them He guides, when they’re applied.

So don’t lose your focus or your zeal.
Always be truthful, honest and real.
God’s word is my sword, not what I feel.
Never lose sight of what death will reveal.

It is easy to live one day at a time.
But without God, each day is a crime.
He is the mountain we all must climb.
To be on top, He must be Prime!

So, where do I stand, with Him on this day?
Have I listened to what He’s trying to say?
Does my heart weep, watching Jesus lay?
Have I drawn closer, or father away?

The former is desired by God above all.
He hold us tight, so we do not fall.
But only if we answer, hearing the call.
As many have done, like the Apostle Paul.

It is not easy to examine my heart.
It’s been deceitful from the very start.
The thief wants only to keep it apart.
Apart from God, until the day I depart.

But that’s not happening! I will not allow!
I gave my life to Jesus, to Him do I bow.
Because He conquered death, I vow,
“Jesus Is Lord! Both then and now.”
