When this evil world tries to threaten all your peace.
And you can’t see the forest, because of all the trees.
Remember the greatest command, hold it tight, don’t let go.
Sincere earnest obedience will guard a heart of gold.

Evil sees only bad among all God’s created good.
Light is dark and dark is light; if only they understood!
God’s goodness is not the enemy, but worthy of our fear.
He gives it freely so we’ll listen, obey and draw Him near.

Why all these contradictions? Why this great divide?
Because the real enemy, Satan, has only told us lies.
Deception from the beginning, lies from the start of time.
Hoping to pull us away from God, our heart, soul and mind.

How’s that battle going for you? Is it victory or defeat?
Now we struggle, but know we’ll win, when we take our leave.
It will be our life’s greatest triumph! Knowing we won’t forget,
We fought the fight, finished the race, leaving no regrets.

So when this evil world tries to threaten all your peace.
Take shelter in Jesus. He’s both the forest and the trees.
Renew your good confession, when you said Jesus is Lord.
Then thru God’s Holy Spirit, help others to know and soar.
