Be Strong

Zechariah 8:9,  RLB 12/25/24
This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: Be strong and finish the task!.

Be strong and finish the task.
The Lord’s command; not much to ask.
He started a good work in you.
It’s completion is…see it through.
Don’t give up when it gets hard.
This too shall pass, with this regard,
God sees the end at the beginning,
And His greatest desire is us winning.

So, be strong and finish the task.
Be real. Don’t wear a mask.
Forces to stop you are very real.
You can not go by just what you feel.
But a conviction from deep inside
Is where you’ll find what God provides.
Strength that only comes from love,
Know God smiles on you from above.

When the going get tough, do not stop.
See yourself coming out on top!
That’s how God sees, moves you make
And His gaze never ever takes a break.
God sees what we can not imagine.
Past, present and what will happen.
He orchestrates our every breath
And knows our exact time of death.

So be strong and finish the task.
Lock away doubt into a cask.
You can do it. God knows you can.
Just never let go of His loving hand.
For when our days on this earth end,
All that matters is being God’s friend.
 And to hear His words with fervent,
“Well done good and faithful servant!”
