Dear Heart
1/18/25 RLB (Matt 12:33-36)
Dear heart, we need to talk. I just read about your part.
You’ve played a roll, all my life, often cutting, like a knife,
Tears stream down my cheek, with words I can not speak.
Hearing every sound, seeing what’s loss and what is found.
Do I understand all you do? No, only how much, I love you.
You guide me back to eternal vision, whenever I fail to listen.
In me seeing unseen; the good and bad you stand between.
Your good treasure is always full, resisting Satin’s evil pull.
Any good comes from you. For God has made you brand new.
Yes, there’re evil forces, but He’s got way more powerful horses.
Thank you God for working, when Satan is somewhere lurking.
Thank you, tears a soft, when I think about God’s greatest cost.
So heart, please understand, you are you by only God’s hand.
Something I just want you to know, we’ll never let that hand go.
We will hold on tight to the end, always talking as with a friend.
We need Him now more than ever, to see tomorrow and forever.
