My Intercessor
By Richard Boll. (7-6-25, Heb 7:24,25)
If a king came calling, and knocked on my door,
Would I recognize His royalty, or would I just ignore,
His promenade position, and what he’s done for man,
The road He built to heaven, his writing in the sand?
This question is answered daily, not because I pray.
But proclaimed to everyone, by the life I live each day.
Do I understand, I have a king, whose name is Lord?
Who was in the beginning, is now and forever more.
His name is Jesus, and He knows these words I hear.
Listening for my answer, so to cancel the final sear.
Yes, I deserve to burn in Hell, forever in my final end.
But Jesus paid my sins debt, so I could call Him friend.
It is the biggest decision, my life will ever make.
It is the greatest leap of faith, my life will ever take.
Making Jesus Lord of my life, begins my greatest need.
Living a life of obedience; no feelings, just what I read.
Being faithful to the end, so my last day is no surprise,
Today, I give my life to God. In His names I am baptized.
