Moses was a man used by God to rescue His people from slavery.
Eleven days turned into 40 years for not relying on God’s bravery.
God promised a childless man, Abraham, “You will be a great nation.”
His wife laughed and thought, ”God doesn’t know our situation!”
Their royal arrival and growth in Egypt went from seventy to millions.
God’s promise came true, universe stars are about 200 billion trillion.
Soon they forgot about God’s mighty arm and His strong loving hand.
Exploring God’s gift, they saw only giants and not His promised land.
So that generation didn’t receive the gift God so much wanted to give.
Most died wandering the desert, but their children continued to live.
The 40 desert years were not without hardship, rebellion and strife.
They only needed to listen and obey, to receive not misery but life!
God told Moses to write a book and a song, so that they’ll never forget.
All the commands, laws and regulations God decreed, and has firmly set.
Mose wrote this entire book on on his birthday, also the day of his death.
He climbed the mountain, saw God’s promise, and then took his last breath.
Day one in February this last Tora book was written by God through Moses.
Not the last book written, for our eyes to see all that God wants to show us.
Its lessons are many, not hard to understand, take heart and pay attention.
God’s loving hand, reaching down hoping you’ll join His heavenly extension.

Richard, thank you for sharing your God given talents. I love how you summarize these bible stories into poetry! Great line for us all to learn… “They (we) only needed (need)to listen and obey, to receive not misery but life! “ God makes it so easy for us and we make it so complicated sometimes.
